4 birthday cakes!

IN ONE MORNING! Lacey and I worked very quickly to get these cakes ready for the family party.

We had a family reunion this weekend and We had 5 birthdays to celbrate!

I made 4 mini cakes...

CANYONS lion cake( yellow cake)

BRENNAS Beach Cake(French vanilla w/ dk choc. fudge)

ZACHS Brooke Trout cake(carrot cake with cream cheese filling)

HUNTERS Brown trout cake(French vanilla with Fudge & coconut pecan filling)

Everyone was happy and liked their cakes...PHEW! it was worth it.

Love & Nature...Gods Gifts to us.

When I am out in Nature observing the beauty of Gods Creations or Spending time with the people I love...I feel Joy and I can't help but feel grateful for a Loving Heavenly Father and these gifts he shares with all. The times I take to notice,observe or savor these gifts are my favorite and happiest times.

Sassy Sugar Cakes! Team Work

Brenna called me up with a big plan to make her mom the "perfect" birthday cake that she would love.

In other words lots and lots of  CHOCOLATE!

Brenna and Lacey and I made quite a team as we rolled, mixed, whipped, painted, piped and more to create these two fabulous cakes.

Brenna shared her mousse recipe to create the filling and I made the dk. chocolate ganash. we layered strawberries in between. The mousse was amazing.

Brenna says she loves the baking and the planning more than the decorating.

Decorating is my favorite part so we made a great pair.

After many hours of failed fondant and a few other mishaps we managed it...

A CAKE FOR MOM...Love Brenna.

Grandma Bevells mini Birthday Cake!

My Grandma and I share the same birthday. I was her first grandchild born on her birthday!

This year for her birthday she came up the mountain to go camping.

So I surprised her at camp with this cake.

She called me yesterday to tell me she just couldn't eat it because she wanted to save it to show everyone. It's just too cute she said. I love her, she is so funny. I assured her I had taken pictures and to dig in.

Fire Works & Face Paint!

We love going to Lori and Delvs for fire works. Their backyard is the Best!

It's like having private seats to the show...up close and personal!

We had the traditional 4th of July dinner: Hamburgers and Hot Dogs!

Then we painted faces and played around while we waited for the sun to go down.

There is nothing like home-made popcorn and marshamllows to help any party feel festive!

We also got large cups of home-made ice-cream! YUUUM Holidays are great with good food.

I have been so busy these last few weeks I haven't had much time to be creative. Today I was craving some way to create! So I got out my camera and sapped these shots of our morning.
